Where Peace Dwells, Fear Cannot

I recently have been asking the question “What are the thoughts and beliefs you hold that are blocking your total access to Love, Peace and Freedom?”
When we are feeling agitated, stressed, anxious or fearful it is a sure sign that a belief is jumping up and preventing access to our peace. Have you noticed how you can be going about your day in a happy way and one little thing can occur which causes you to go into a state of upset? Or the other way around: You wake up in a grouchy mood and feel a dark cloud hanging over you, then something “good” happens and you suddenly shift into happiness?

Most of the thoughts and beliefs we have that block our access to peace are simply fear.

Circumstances change constantly. One moment things are one way so we choose to have thoughts that affect us like this, and then things change so we choose to have thoughts like that. What if you became more conscious of all this fear based choosing and began to choose thoughts which open the door to your inner peace?

You have the opportunity to do this all the time. You have the ability to do it too….even when it seems really hard or even impossible.

Start with something simple. The next time something occurs today where you feel any type of upset, pause and ask to see it differently. Ask yourself what would feel more peaceful right now? It could be in traffic, or the grocery store, talking with your partner, watching the news….as a matter of fact watching the news will give you TONS of opportunity to practice. Notice how you feel when you watch a story on the news that is upsetting. Ask yourself how you can see this story differently? What can you shift within yourself to feel peace? Perhaps you find yourself sending love to those involved in the story? Be aware of the judgments you may have about the characters in the story. These limit your access to love. Drop them. Notice that the circumstances do not need to change in order for you to have a new thought, a new response. Go in the direction of peace and you will experience peace.

Remember this: Where peace dwells, fear cannot.

Love, Peace and Freedom,
